Jonathan Bangs Assignment 7

Jonathan Bangs

March 2016

E. Serrano

I've been apart of the "Shelter Team" since last spring and the journey has been eventful and arduous. Recently things have seemed to be moving in a prosperous direction with the acquisition of graphic designers and a few other brilliant thinkers in my class. My fearless director Martin Acosta has such a vivid vision for this piece that sometimes his quest for ultimate perfection can get a little frustrating; however after seeing the cargo freight container being put in place and utilized by "us" the actors, I can strongly say for the first time I was surely a believer in how far "Shelter" can go due to its aesthetic and social message. In the vein of "social" our facebook social media page was launched last week and the numbers are exponentially rising. Connecting with the community and giving them insight on the process day after gives me the gratifying feeling that something special and ingenious is happening. A community-engaging piece that emphatically speaks to the times we are living in at this very moment.
