Last week the team brainstormed to figure out possible strategies for engaging people that are homeless in a way that would empower them and allow us to be their megaphone in this project. Tomorrow (March 9) we will be going to Hollywood to approach people on the streets for the sole purpose of hearing them out and being there for them. If an opportunity should arise, we will ask if they would want to participate in our piece by allowing us to record their stories and whatever it is that they want to talk about.
Since I am very new to this team and the project as a whole I don't really quite understand the big picture yet but after tomorrow I believe I will have an in depth understanding of the project and its goals. This is a challenge for me, but I trust Sophia and her vision for the project.
